Caroline Lovelace is a senior in high school who has been formally playing the piano and singing since age 7. Shortly after starting lessons, her family and teacher discovered that she had perfect pitch. This gift has allowed her to understand music on a deeper level, which comes in handy whether she's singing in chamber choir or HAWKappella, playing piano, or listening to music in her free time. Among fellow singers, she's jokingly called "the human pitch pipe" or "the human piano."
Caroline has also been composing since she was little. Of course, the subject of her songs has evolved from silly jingles to angsty ballads to slightly less angsty ballads with metaphors. This year is her second year in music tech as she seeks to move beyond writing songs just for piano and voice. She uses Logic Pro X at home but Ableton at school. She has not formally released any music due to her annoyingly perfectionistic nature paired with laziness and mild anxiety.
In college, Caroline still wants to be involved with music, likely through an a cappella group. She will also bring her keyboard with her because without a piano at her disposal, she may or may not go clinically insane. She hopes to continue composing for fun, and would be partial to releasing music if she didn't get tired of it by the time it's mastered.
